St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a southern Caribbean nation comprising a main island, St. Vincent, and a chain of smaller islands. With yacht-filled harbors, chic private isles and volcanic landscapes, St. Vincent is known for its major sailing destinations such as reef-lined Bequia Island off Admiralty Bay, bordered by white-sand beaches like Princess Margaret. Since these islands are known for their sailing views, they are the perfect place to visit while on a charter. While in these waters, you can put your pirate cap on and explore several filming sites from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Captain Jack Sparrow left treasures behind and they are yours for the taking so put the fins and snorkel on and dive it! By water or by land from one island to the next, you will be immersed in culture and local flare of a tropical heavenly escape.

DAY 1

Meet your crew at Blue Lagoon Marina in St. Vincent and be welcomed aboard with a tasty tropical cocktail! Sit back, CHILLAX, and settle in to your floating home for the week. Set sail or motor over to your fist anchorage of Wallilbou for the evening. You’ll get your pirate spirit on early in the trip as you can venture around one of the Pirate’s of the Caribbean movie sights as if you were Captain Sparrow himself before enjoying the first dinner onboard prepared. Your chef will wow you around the table as you take the evening to soak in the sights, smells and sounds of the islands.

DAY 2

Wake up with your new-found island vibe, indulge in a scrumptious breakfast and on to the stunningly beautiful island destination of Bequia. Here you can choose to break out the yachts water toys and discover the water as your playground for the week or venture and explore on shore. Visit with the friendly locals, stroll the boardwalk with vendors sharing locally made arts and crafts and dip into the local beachside bars or fabulous restaurants such as Papa’s or the Fig Tree.

DAY 3

As your group inevitably will wake up at random times, the early birds can take advantage of the calm anchorage by getting a little morning exercise on the paddleboard or kayak or whatever water toys your yacht has stashed away. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and motor or sail over to Mayreau’s Salt Whistle Bay. Once you arrive, you will understand why this palm tree lined bay is featured on post cards and screen savers and dive into the island. Time to put your toes in the sand and chillax on the beach or let the over achievers head over to the next bay and dabble in kite surfing or other water sports your yacht may offer. You’ll also want to meander around the local venders to understand the unique offerings of the Mayreau locals or venture inland for a nature hike to discover the lush tropical landscape. Another day, another island! What will your chef have in store for your group tonight?

DAY 4

By now you are completely immersed on island time and the crew could take you anywhere and you’d be happy! No worries, they are certain to continue to impress with the next island highlights. This time it will be in the awe-inspiring Tobago Cays Marine Reserve. Gear up with the snorkel and fins and dive into the incredible turquoise waters to unfold the adventure under the sea. Submersed among a rainbow of tropical fish that are attracted to the sea grass, you’ll also be on the lookout for hawksbill turtles and wandering stingrays. Discover this Cay inland if you need land legs, or simple enjoy the island time. Tobago Cay offers opportunity for local beach BBQ if you want to try dinner off the boat for a change of pace or continue to let the chef amaze you with a tiny galley creation to delight your tastebuds. Feel free to kick up the music on the yacht tonight and test out the group’s island dance moves! Your crew may have a party trick or two up their sleeves to spice up the night! After all, you’ll be at Spice Island in a few days!

DAY 5

Who wants to sleep in when you can climb out of bed to soak in the fresh ocean air, soft tropical breeze and enjoy your morning coffee without a worry in the world? Not us! It’s about now when you have officially checked out of the daily grind and are contemplating becoming a full-time “yachtie”. Haha! So off to Union Island you go. Explore the opportunities the capitol of The Grenadines offers from your mooring in Clifton Harbour. Snorkel off the back of the yacht to explore the stunning reef, enjoy water playtime or simply enjoy the morning chillaxin’. The afternoon you’ll kick it up a little as you visit Happy Island (just the name makes you smile☺). Of course there is some fine rum punch to be tasted on Happy Island! After playtime fun there, motor over to Chatham Bay for more water activities or back ashore you can go to explore a few more beach bars. Vanessa’s is a favorite or Aqua offers up a beach side swimming pool to Chillax by.

DAY 6

Island hopping is a tough job but someone has to do it, so off to another day of adventure. Time to head into the Grenadian waters. The first stop will be to Sandy Island which highlights a sandy bar for the group to snorkel off of and take pictures as if you are on a deserted island. So many islands, so little time. Next up will be Tyrell Bay where you can enjoy the yacht’s water toys, explore the island on a hike or partake in whatever you or your crew have conjured up for the day!

DAY 7

First rule of the last full day of a charter vacation is don’t talk about it being the last day of vacation! Second rule of the last day of a charter vacation is text your broker and tell her to book the same dates for next year! Trust us, it’s hard to go back to resort life after being spoiled on the yacht all week. Today holds a little longer motor or sail in store for you to store up all of the views to take back home. Arrive on the west coast of Grenada where you will be greeted with the luscious green tropical colors paired with a hint of spice in the air. Grenada is Spice Island and you honestly can smell it on land. Grenada is known for its friendly locals, spices, chocolate factories, rum distilleries and waterfalls. We recommend hitting some of those highlights after disembarking tomorrow. Today, you MUST experience the unique underwater sculpture park by snorkel or by scuba to be mesmerized by this creative artwork under the sea. Spend the last night at anchor in Molinere.

DAY 8

Wake up and play—you still have a few hours of Chillaxin’ before your true land legs kick back into action. After an early swim, snorkel, SUP or kayak, the yacht will dock at Port Louis Marina in Grenada for the dreaded disembarkation. The memories and new friendships you get to take with you will last a lifetime and the island hopping spirit is forever in your vacation vibe! Until next time!
